It was a fairly low-key weekend, which was nice after last weekend!
Friday
Friday afternoon, I installed our new garden hose on the hose reel and then watered the plants. The rest of the afternoon was spent relaxing, watching TV, and reading.
Saturday
Saturday morning, I was up at 5, read my scriptures for the day, fed the cats, and then headed out for a run. It was already humid, as in 100% humidity. It was like running through a sauna with clothes on, but I got it done! It was nice to be back in the A/C! I sat down with a Body Armor and a book and two cats, and chilled for a little bit. Then it was time for coffee and breakfast.

After breakfast, it was time to tackle the washing machine repair. The washing machine has been slowly leaking for a while, and we’ve had repair guys out here, but they didn’t find any reason (they didn’t even take it apart). So, I had had enough and decided to do it myself. After researching, I determined that it was likely a clogged drain/filter (we had had it for 14 years and hadn’t realized until recently that this was something that needed occasional cleaning). Of course, getting to the filter wasn’t easy. It was located in the front and was only accessible by removing the entire front. Since I was already having to take the back, top, and front off, we decided to go ahead and remove and clean the hoses as well. After several hours, and a few scrapes and cuts, it was back together, and it works! (After this was done, it still has a small leak, but I found it was something else, and it can be fixed by only removing the top.)

This was exhausting work (plus it was hot outside cleaning the hoses), so after this, we had just enough energy to shower and do a little bit of church work. The rest of the night was spent relaxing.
Sunday
Sunday was a normal Sunday – Starbucks, Sunday School, no Children’s Church, great worship, and Pastor finished his “Grace to Get Up” series. It was a great Sunday morning at church 🙂

After church, my mom and I went to a local buffet and had a delicious lunch.

After lunch, we were home the rest of the afternoon and evening, relaxing and just enjoying being at home.
Happy Monday!
