[SEPTEMBER] 2022: Book Review

It’s time to look at the books I read in September!

Belong to Me by Marisa De Los Santos

★★★★.5

Cornelia, Piper, and Lake are three very different suburban neighbors. Cornelia was once a city dweller but desired a move to the suburban life with her husband Teo. Piper is the judgmental neighbor, with impossible standards. Lake is elusive, yet warm, and has moved to the neighborhood with her extremely smart son Dev, to get him in a gifted school. Soon, all three women are on separate, yet connected, roller coasters of emotion, involving loss, betrayals, secrets, and love. I was sucked in from the very beginning and remained enthused all the way to the exciting conclusion. If you want a book that is well written, has strong and exciting characters, and like when the characters “find themselves” (or in this case, find what it truly means to belong to someone), this book is it!
