Let’s Look: How I Clean My Closet

Today I am going to look at how I clean my closet.

This has been something I have been working on for a while. I had WAY TOO MANY clothes (I wish I had taken a picture of it), and most did not fit me anymore. It was all too big, so it had to go.

I started by sorting the fall/winter clothes and spring/summer clothes. This was easier as I swapped these clothes out with the season change. I was able to get a lot out of the closet then. Depending on what it was, it went into the give-away pile or the throw-away pile. Some things did not need to be given away, because it was too well-loved. So those things went into the garbage (or for “work outside” yard clothes…we probably all have them LOL).

Then, the give-away pile was divided by who it was going to. There were some things that I knew my friend could use so there was that pile. Then there is a pile for my sister, and finally, a pile for the ladies at the transitional home next to our church. Each was put into garbage bags and loaded into my vehicle (except for the ones that go to my sister. We keep those until she comes to visit). Sometimes I end up driving around with bags of clothes in my car for a while (like now) LOL. It isn’t intentional. I just don’t get the chance to drop the bags off to the ladies at the house, or I don’t get a chance to get up with my friend, but I do eventually get them to everyone.

So, see, there’s nothing fancy, and it is still a work in progress but I have been able to get rid of a lot of things (I wish I had been keeping up with the number of bags which might have been embarrassing to see how much I did have), and that does make me happy 🙂
