Historical Fiction Books with Nationalities in the Title

Our topic for this week is: books with nationalities in the title (e.g. The French Lieutenant’s Woman, Mexican Gothic, An American Mariage, etc.) (submitted by Cathy @WhatCathyReadNext). I had not intended on only using a certain genre but then, as I started researching, I saw a lot of historical fiction books with nationalities in their titles, so, since I am on a historical fiction kick, I am only listing historical fiction books with nationalities in the title.

1. The Welsh Girl – Peter Ho Davies
2. The Japanese Lover – Isabel Allende Llona
3. American Princess – Stephanie Marie Thornton
4. The American – Henry James
5. The Italian Secretary – Caleb Carr
6. Russian Winter – Daphne Kalotay
7. The Wild Irish – Robin Maxwell
8. The Swedish Gypsy – Mary Paulson
9. The English Girl – Margaret Leroy
10. The Scottish Prisoner – Diana Jean Gabaldon Watkins
