Hello Monday / Weekend Update {2.27.23}

It was a semi-low key weekend. I wasn’t upset about it at all 🙂

Friday Night

Fridays are usually work from home days (hence the reason laundry usually starts on Fridays) and this day was no exception. But, after work, I actually got clothes on to go pick up food. It was worth it! Back home and back in PJs, it was time to eat supper and watch “Father Brown”. These are among my favorite Friday nights: home in PJs, eating and watching something on AcornTV and/or BritBox.

Saturday

Up at 6:15, and out the door about an hour later for a Saturday morning run:) Thank the Lord I didn’t wait up with a headache this time! It was a great run, and I was back home before 8am. It was time for coffee, followed by breakfast and BritBox. Then the kitchen wall reinforcement and repair started. It was honestly not hard. Everything went smoothly. It is mostly ready for tape, joint compound, sanding, etc., and then re-painting.

Luna had to be in the middle of it all

By early evening, we were showered, church work complete, and eating supper. I even managed to get a little blog work in. After supper and “Father Brown”, it was time for bed, or should I say, reading before bed.

Sunday

I love Sundays. Even though the mornings are always busy (at least for us), we get to go to church and worship God. I woke up early, like usual, fed the cats, and got ready for church. On the way to church, we stop at Starbucks for cappuccinos and egg bites:) Once we got to church, our work continues (mine as admin asst; my mom’s as media/lyric producer). We do stop to eat our breakfast. A typical morning means I am getting the Check-In iPads & printer set up, making copies and distributing the Service Order for the day, and making whatever other copies might need to be made. (The iPads and printer were already set up. Thankful for great people working this area!!) The rest of the time is usually spent still doing various other things that I need to. Sunday School was from 10:00 to 10:45, then the children come down for Worship. We have Worship and Word from 11:00 to 12:00-12:30. Most Sundays, we go home and relax and work on getting things together for the week. This Sunday, we had to stop at Lowe’s (hello Saturday drywall projects) and to Kroger to pick up prescriptions on the way home. Then, it was time for Sunday relaxation. We ate lunch and watched “Father Brown”. I did take a nap after lunch (which I normally do not take naps on Sundays). Then it was time for supper and more “Father Brown” and then it was bedtime.

Blue apparently needed a better view
