Labor Day Weekend Update [9.8.26]

It was a busy and hot weekend!!

Friday

Friday, I worked and then came home and tried on dresses for a wedding this December. That was about it LOL

Saturday

We were up before the sun because we had the first of our September community events. We met at the church, loaded up, and then went to the town where the festival was being held. It. was. hot! My mom and I didn’t stay the whole time because we needed to head an hour south to get a few things done (bought).

Our first stop was to a two-story antiques mall. Believe it or not, we did not buy anything. That doesn’t mean we didn’t see things we liked though;) After that, we picked up my race packet, and then went to eat lunch. We felt more rejuvenated after lunch. We then went shopping (I needed new pants for work). We also stopped at the bookstore and candle/soap/fragrance store, before heading to Sam’s. By the time we left there, we were beyond exhausted but we were headed home.

Sunday

Sunday morning started like most…

…but when we got to church and started turning on the lights, sound, computers, etc., we quickly realized that we had a problem. Only a few of our Sunday School rooms had working lights, and most of the sanctuary lights and AC was not working. The high that day was supposed to get up to 101 or 102. All of the guys that know about electricity started checking everything out, and found out that it wasn’t something on our end. It was the power company’s problem. They quickly got in touch with them. Those of us that were there waited around to see if we would need to cancel church that day. We were about to call it when we got word that the power would be back on within 15-20 minutes. It was more like 30-45 minutes, but just in time for the 11 o’clock service, it came back on, and the AC did a great job getting it cooled off quickly. We had missed having Sunday School, but the awesome time of worship and the Word helped make up for that.

After church, my mom, my best friend, and I went to a local restaurant for lunch. The rest of the afternoon and evening was spent relaxing, doing laundry, and reading 🙂

Monday

Monday was a lot of this 🙂

Happy Tuesday!!
