It was an icy weekend! This is posting on Tuesday afternoon because we were without power until around 8 pm Monday night, and without Internet until Tuesday afternoon.
Friday
Friday was spent doing laundry and prepping for the predicted ice storm!
Saturday
I knew the ice storm was headed in, so I didn’t even set an alarm to try to run. I knew that being a little undertrained was better than a broken bone! This is what I woke up to, and it continued all day:
The day was spent watching TV, scheduling blog posts, eating, “slow cooking”, and staying safe and warm, and praying the ice didn’t bring down trees and power lines.

Round two came through, ice collected on the tree limbs, limbs started breaking, and…
Sunday
…at 3 am, the power went out…for the entire county (surrounding counties had gone out the night before).
This is how we spent Sunday and Sunday night.
Like I said above, we got power back Monday night, after 41 hours without, and Internet, after about 60 hours without, so we are good.
We are feeling extremely thankful, but so many still do not have power, heat, and/or water. Please continue to pray for them! This cleanup and restoration (for some) will take a while! Also, pray for the workers getting everyone back to power and water!
Happy Monday (ugh, Tuesday)!!

So glad you are safe and warm. Ice storms are the worst. Back in 2009 we had a brutal one and we were without power for 9 days
We’ve been through one before and we were without power for 2 weeks. We are so thankful it didn’t take that long this time.
