10 Favorite Cute/Sweet Moments in Books

It’s a Top Ten related to books! Count me in!

1. “I could teach you to read” – Where the Crawdads Sing

When Tate said that, y’all! My heart smiled. He didn’t see Kya as strange and backwards and stupid. He saw someone that needed help learning to read, and he was willing to help, no matter how he “looked” to everyone else.

2. “I think there are certain people who change the way time moves.” – Belong to Me

This really shows Clare’s love for Teo and Cornelia.

3. “If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you.” – Winnie the Pooh

just precious!

4. “Once in a while I experience an emotion onstage that is so gut-wrenching, so heart-stopping, that I could weep with gratitude and joy. The feeling catches and magnifies so rapidly that it threatens to engulf me.” – Home: A Memoir of My Early Years

I felt that! Not that I have performed on stage a lot (I can count on one hand how many times), but those emotions have been the same in other things.

5. “If he doesn’t love me in a boiler suit, he’s not worth dressing up for in the first place.” – The Rose Code

Maybe this isn’t a “sweet” moment but, girls! Be yourself! Be you!

6. “If there’s a corner where you plant your heart, it’s always with you.” – Little Beach Street Bakery

Some of the places I’ve traveled to did seem to get a piece of my heart and those places, and memories, are still with me.

7. “Going through someone’s stuff after they’re gone. All these things that were important to Uncle Cam, and now someone else has to get rid of it all, or whatever.” – The Lost Man

This was an “aww” moment to me, in both a sad and sentimental way. When someone dies, it is sad to go through their belongings but it is also sweet to see their memories.

8. “…Sometimes fighting isn’t about leaving, it’s about staying. It takes practice to get it right, and it’s painful, but if you want to stay with people, you do it.” – Love Lettering

this is self-explanatory 🙂

9. “The Spirit of God lives inside of me, and because of that, I’m never alone. There are people who love me, who want to be with me. I can reach out to them instead of sitting here, stuck.” – Get Out of Your Head: Stopping the Spiral of Toxic Thoughts

Isn’t it great to have people to help you out of tough thoughts?!

10. “I can’t breathe.” “It’s the lower oxygen up here.” “No. I can’t breathe when you’re next to me.” – Enjoy the View

AWW!!!
