Monthly Musings : How We Holiday

It’s time for another Monthly Musing. This time we’re talking about how we holiday!

1. Favorite holiday traditions?

I don’t know if they are really traditions but we just enjoy time together as a family, whether it’s 3 of us, or 5 of us.

2. Favorite holiday fashion items or accessories?

Anything festive. I did just get a sequin skirt and a red top and I can’t wait to wear them both! I’m pretty sure they will be favorites!

3. Share your favorite holiday recipes.

I don’t have any holiday recipes but I do love to fix and eat sausage dip for Christmas.

4. How do you celebrate the holidays?

Nothing big – we just spend time together at home, eating, watching movies, and sometimes, playing games.

5. Do you go to see holiday lights?

Sometimes, yes. It depends on if we have the time. There is a house a few blocks from us that is decorated every year, and it is a big deal! (It is actually on my running route but the lights aren’t on then, during the day)

6. How do you decorate your house for the holidays?

We decorate the tree, set out an angel and a Santa by the fireplace, put a lighted Christmas wreath on the door, and laser projector light thing. We just found and bought the cutest Christmas gnome family so now we have those sitting in the archway between the dining and living room.

7. If you get a Christmas tree – is it real or fake?

It is fake. (see above)

8. Favorite holiday treats?

Since I don’t eat them except at Christmas time, I would call them a treat – Andes Mint candies 🙂

9. If you have pets, do your pets give and get gifts?

No, but they should! I need to change that!

10. Best tips to make the holidays less stressful?

Plan ahead. Buy ahead. Start saving early if you have to buy presents. Don’t let people steal your Christmas cheer!
