Monthly Musings : Back to School/Fall Prep

It’s time for another Monthly Musing!! This time I’m talking about back-to-school and fall prep.

1. Any back-to-school traditions?

Nope. No kids, and I work outside of school, so no back-to-school anything.

2. How do you celebrate the first day of school?

Again, no back-to-school.

3. Favorite early fall/back-to-school meals? Can you share the recipe?

Taco soup! It is just a basic taco soup recipe, but delicious nonetheless.

4. What are your go-to outfits for early fall?

jeans, fall colors and prints.

5. Do kids go back to school before or after Labor Day in our area?

Bless them. They go back before Labor Day. One district went back two weeks before the first of August, one week before, and the rest were the first week of August.

6. When do you start to decorate for early fall?

September 1!!

7. How do you get back into the fall routine?

Planning ahead.

8. What are you most looking forward to this fall?

Fall itself and the changes that come with it; October, Halloween, vacation in Italy in November, November, Thanksgiving…all the things!

9. Do you decorate for fall? If so, when?

Not really, but if I have some fall things, I will set them out. I do have my Hello Pumpkin candle out.

10. What feels like fall to you?

When the weather finally loses its humidity and heat! Also, it starts feeling like fall when the routines change. I may not have anything to do with back-to-school, but I have friends who do, and just seeing their kids’ first day pictures and the school activities, including football, that come with it, feels like fall.
