Happy Wednesday, friends! It’s time for Joyce‘s Wednesday Hodgepodge linkup. Let’s do this!! Here are this week’s questions with my answers in italics.

1. What’s something you may do this month?
I may get a job LOL. Seriously, though, I’ve had an interview, and I’m waiting to hear back from that, and then I have another interview this week, so hopefully soon!
2. Hola! Hodgepodge Day lands just after Cinco de Mayo… how do you feel about Mexican food? What’s your favorite dish? Do you make it at home, or is it a strictly dine-out option?
I LOVE Mexican food!! I have several “favorites” that I go back and forth when I order, but the first thing that comes to mind is chicken, cheese, and rice. It is the perfect combination of all three and is absolutely delicious. It is simple, but oh so tasty! I do not make it at home, but I probably could if I really wanted to. It is just easier to get it at the restaurant, and either eat there or bring it home.
3. When the children of today grow up, what do you think they’ll say about this time period? What do you most hope they remember?
Honestly, I have no idea what they will say. But I hope that they will always know and see that God always had them and, despite how things looked, He was always working for their good.
4. What advice would you give a new mother?
I don’t have children, but having watched my mom raise me and my sister, as well as watching other mothers, I would say, with God’s guidance, do the best you can raising them, and if things don’t go the way you planned or expected, God still has them, and everything will eventually work out the way it is supposed to.
5. What’s a phrase your mother often said to you? If you’re a mom, do you say it to your own children?
I know she has said so many great things, but one of the things that comes to mind the most is “Keep God First”. I don’t have kids, but I did just write the same thing in the cards for the high school graduates.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
I had no idea, and it is rare, but a person can be allergic to the invasive vine, Virginia Creeper. I am that person. Thankfully, the rash doesn’t spread like poison ivy rash, but it does itch like crazy. I am thankfully coming out the other side of it, though!

I hope the job works out for you. I think keeping God first and knowing He has us are good things to remember no matter our age : ) Have a great day!
I hope you’ll soon be able to share the positive report that you got the job!
Keeping God first is wonderful advice for all of us, glad you shared that.
I didn’t know that about Virginia Creeper either – hope the itch goes away soon!
Have a wonderful week!
