//CURRENTLY : {May} 2022

Anne, at In Residence, hosts a linkup on the first Wednesday of every month and invites readers to sahre a few things they’re up to currently. Be sure to head over to Anne’s blog and see what everyone is up to this month.

This month’s prompts are consuming, feeling, finding, following, and spending.

CONSUMING

VEGGIE STRAWS. I am addicted! (maybe not addicted, but slightly obsessed) The Sea Salt are good, and even better dipped in Ranch dressing (or try whatever…I don’t think it could be bad at all) but my favorite is the Ranch flavored. If I’m feeling wild, I might dip them in Ranch dressing too 😉

FEELING

OPTIMISTIC. It seems we, the country & most of the world, as a whole, are getting back into some form of normalcy. The last two years have been… *insert your own word(s)*….sad, terrible, miserable, crazy…I could go on. I’m just glad we appear to have made it to the other side!

FINDING

NEW IDEAS FOR POSTS. I have been/am trying to get more blog posts together and it is a good feeling when I think of something new or can, at least borrow from & adapt from and give credit to others

FOLLOWING

PETER HELLER. A year or two ago, I discovered his book “The River”. I really enjoyed reading it. It was so well written. Enter 2021 and “The Guide” came out so I jumped on that one…and I loved it as well! So, now I am going back and seeing what he wrote before “The River” and I plan to read them too….and of course, I’m anxiously waiting to see if he is working on something new. I hope so!

SPENDING

TIME RESEARCHING the best carry-ons. I normally don’t need a carry-on (I need more packing room) but this month, I will be traveling to Universal with friends and we will only be there for 2 full days so we all decided that we can actually pack what we need, including a pillow, into a carry-on. I have things that I could have used but they are much smaller than carry-on size. I was trying to decide between a rolling carry-on or a duffle. After looking at ratings and reviews, I found what I think is the best option in both. I did decide on the duffle because it is cheaper but if I see that I will be traveling more with just a carry-on, I will invest in the rolling carry-on.

    Hooray for feeling optimistic – love that answer (and attitude!!) And that duffle looks like a great option! Enjoy your trip:)

      I tried to stay optimistic the whole time, but sometimes it was really hard. I don’t like not being able to think positively so now it feels much better.
