A Hodgepodge Adventure

Happy Wednesday, friends! Let’s do this!! It’s time for Joyce‘s Wednesday Hodgepodge linkup! Here are this week’s questions with my answers in italics.

1.  What does adventure mean to you?

To me, an adventure usually means doing something fun and new. Hiking, kayaking, exploring new towns/countries also count as adventures too 🙂

2. What are your thoughts on tipping? What businesses or service providers do you regularly tip? Do you resent being asked if you’d like to add a tip? What about when a suggested amount is presented?

I feel like it should be based on service, not because they aren’t paid enough and we feel obligated. I tip my hair and nail ladies. I don’t necessarily resent being asked when it is on a card screen, but I do if they ask me. I don’t mind the suggested tip amounts (because I am good at math), so I just ignore it if I want to give something different.

3. I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream…do we? Is ice cream a favorite treat at your house? What’s your favorite flavor? Regular, soft serve, gelato, sherbet, or some sort of non-dairy version of ice cream…what’s your pleasure?

Ice cream is a favorite. It isn’t something we need to keep at home, though, because it is a favorite. My all-time favorite is strawberry ice cream, but I have recently discovered Pineapple Coconut ice cream, and it is DELICIOUS!!

4.  What’s your ‘back in my day, we____________________ ‘ story or saying?

…started school later in the summer, closer to Labor Day. Now, our local school district starts back on July 21st. Bless these kids.

5. Somehow, this is our last Hodgepodge in the month of June. Next week’s Hodgepodge lands in July. Wow. Sum up your June using three adjectives.

Hot, rainy, busy.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

Next week is Vacation Bible School week. This is how we look by the end, but it is still worth it for the children!
