This week’s topic is a freebie, so, since I am looking forward to October, for a trip to Hawaii for a friend’s 50th birthday, I thought reading books set in Hawaii would be fun

1. The Color of Air – Gail Tsukiyama

2. The Unhoneymooners – Christina Lauren

3. Freckled – TW Neal

4. About a Girl – Lindsey Kelk

5. The Islands at the End of the World / The Girl at the Center of the World – Austin Aslan

6. Red Sky Over Hawaii – Sara Ackerman

7. Unfamiliar Fishes – Sarah Vowell

8. Rogue Wave – Boyd Morrison

9. Blood Orchids – Toby Neal

10. Captive Paradise – James L. Haley

…and because I found so many that I want to read, I couldn’t stop at 10…
Bonus #1: Try Easy – Jill Brashear

Bonus #2: Simmer Down – Sarah Smith

Bonus #3: Reckless Girls – Rachel Hawkins
I already own this and it is on my TBR for the summer! I can get a headstart on my Hawaii reads!

I hope you have a wonderful trip!
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
Thank you!
Hawaii is such a cool place to read about.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
I’m looking forward to it!
We did such similar topics for the same reason- upcoming trips. I hope you really enjoy your holiday.
I decided to go for books set in Rome for my freebie!
Thank you!
I’ll have to check out your picks for Rome. I hope to visit there someday too!
I loved the Islands at the End of the World duology, such a creative story.
Funnily enough, the last book I finished was also set in Hawaii! A YA novel — Summer of Sloane. It definitely brought the beauty of the place to life and made me want to alternately hang out on the beach and hike to a waterfall for a picnic lunch.
I need to check that one out!
Great topic! Hawaii is a great setting for books! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! I feel like it is probably a great setting for anything HA!
I always enjoy books with Hawaiian settings, although I’ve only read one of these. I hope you enjoy your reading and your trip!
Happy TTT!

I loved #2. I also loved Kai Hemmings Hart’s books set in Hawaii.
Here’s my TTT post.
I need to check those out!
I love that you chose books set in Hawaii for your list this week! Hawaii (Maui specifically) is one of my most favorite places on earth.
I’ve never been to Hawaii but I have a feeling it will be one of my favorites after I go!
I’ve only ever read the one book set in Hawaii: The Girl From Everywhere by Heidi Heilig, but I did enjoy it!

Have tons of fun in Hawaii! I’d love to visit there someday. Until then, I just have to read about it.
Hopefully you will! This will be my first time.

Such a fun list! I loved Unhoneymooners but could not make it through Freckled.
