It was a busy weekend!!
Friday
Friday was spent doing some more cleaning and purging. We did make a trip to the post office and to pick up lunch, but most of the day was spent at home.
Saturday
Saturday morning, we had an emergency meeting at the church. It was also a fundraiser day at one of our coffee places, so, on the way to the meeting, I picked up 15 (14 others plus mine) large drinks. Of course, I had to have my regular coffee first…to wake me up LOL. Everyone had sent me their order the night before, and since I couldn’t order ahead, I had to just order all 15 that morning. Thankfully, it wasn’t an issue, and they were very efficient! (I wish I had gotten a picture of all 15 drinks)
After the meeting, we came home, got a few things done around the house, showered, and then headed back to the church for a Back-to-School revival service. We stopped at the coffee shop for those large “fundraiser” drinks, but this time, only got drinks for my mom and me (my second one).
After church, they had tacos so we stayed for a little bit and ate, and then came home and straight to bed.
Sunday
Sunday morning, we made our usual Starbucks stop on the way to church. We didn’t have any meetings this time, so we got there at our “normal” time. We had a wonderful time in Sunday School, a great time of worship, prayed for our children, teachers, counselors, etc., and the visiting preacher delivered a phenomenal message for our Back-to-School time.
Our Back-to-School Water Day was planned for that afternoon, so after grabbing a quick lunch, we went back to the church to decorate and get ready for the kids.
After a long but fun afternoon, it was time to go home and rest!
