Happy Wednesday, friends! It’s time for Joyce‘s Wednesday Hodgepodge linkup. Let’s do this!! Here are this week’s questions with my answers in italics.
1. Summer’s here! In the northern hemisphere anyway. If you’re in the southern hemisphere substitute winter for the word summer. What do you love most about summer? What’s your biggest summer pet peeve?
What I love most about summer is longer days, and when I get to go, the beach. My biggest summer pet peeve is the Southern humidity and mosquitoes.
2. What song always reminds you of summer?
Really, anything by the Beach Boys or Jimmy Buffett reminds me of summer 🙂
3. What’s something you remember about your childhood summers? Do you think kids today get to enjoy summer the way you did as a child? Elaborate.
Being out of school HAHA. Seriously, though, I remember all of the times we went on vacation to Folly Beach, SC. We did that every summer for many years.
I do think, for the most part, kids today do enjoy summer the way we did. As with most things, life and times are different now, but in their own way, I think they do enjoy it.
4. We celebrate Father’s Day on June 21st. Do you favor your dad in looks or temperament? Tell us something about your dad. Or your husband as a dad. Or a son/son-in-law as a dad. Or your grandpa.
Not to put a damper on this, but I wasn’t close to my father, but yes, I do look just like him LOL.

I have Vacation Bible School prep this weekend, Vacation Bible School the first three days next week, and then next weekend is beach vacation! It is a busy week, but I am here for it!

I bet you’ll be ready for vacation after a week of VBS: ) Ours was fun but it is exhausting. We had a great turnout too which was nice. I was just sitting outside and had to come in as the mosquitos were driving me nuts. Normally they’re not too bad up on the deck, but my neighbors have a huge landscaping/patio project going in and I think all the dirt being turned up is setting off the mosquitos. Have a nice weekend!
