Happy Wednesday, friends! It’s time for Joyce‘s Wednesday Hodgepodge linkup. Let’s do this!! Here are this week’s questions with my answers in italics.

1. What do you make more complicated than it needs to be?
What do I NOT make complicated? :/
2. What impresses you?
A young person who is polite to their “elders” impresses me. I feel like a lot of them are a lot of them aren’t necessarily rude or hateful; they just don’t really think about it. So, when they are being genuinely nice and very helpful, I notice that. (I also notice when they are being rude, and nothing sets me off more than that!)
3. On a scale of 1-10, how picky of an eater are you? (1=extremely and 10=not at all) If you had to eat a meal made entirely of one color, what color would you choose?
I would say, now, I am about a 6 or 7. As a child, it would have been a 1. I still will not eat shrimp (looks and consistency) and livers…just, no!
If I had to eat one color, it would be yellow…squash, cheese, mac & cheese, bananas…
4. What does balance in life mean to you? Does your life currently feel ‘balanced’?
I don’t know if my life is ever balanced. I mean, it doesn’t currently feel too unbalanced, but I don’t know about balanced either.
5. If you could travel the world for a year, what would be your first destination?
Switzerland. It’s what’s “next” on the travel bucket list.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Well, folks, I have a beach trip planned with my mom and my best friend! (both of whom I traveled to London/Scotland with) We are going to have so much fun!! 🙂

A beach trip sounds so nice right about now. We are going to a wedding at the beach in July (trying not to think about how hot it will be) and I’m looking forward to that. I also notice when people, especially young people, are polite and make eye contact and are comfortable talking to someone of another generation. Hope you’re having a nice weekend!
Young people who are polite and genuinely respectful impress me too. I think that society in general doesn’t teach or expect proper manners and courtesy to ‘elders’ any more so those who are especially polite stand out in a good way.
Switzerland would be a wonderful place to start a world tour – it’s another place I’d love to visit too.
Hope your beach trip and your week is going great!
