It was another productive weekend!
Friday
I finished getting my two bedroom doors primed and painted. (This project actually started on Thursday.) I also started on the closet door that has been sitting in my room for a long time. The closet door is a brand new door, so it had to be cut to the right height and notched for the hinges. I got that done, and then sanded it. I was able to get two coats of primer on it, so now it is ready for the paint, and then, after more years than I care to admit, it will finally be hung!
With one bedroom door hung (the 2nd coat of paint was drying on the other), I came inside to eat supper. When the paint on the other door was dry, we brought it inside and hung it. I then got a shower and was ready to be done for the night. I installed the new doorknobs on both doors and then went to bed.
Saturday
Saturday morning, I slept in because I knew I wouldn’t have time to run, shower, and make it to the church in time. We had a Celebration of Life for one of the men in our church who recently passed away:( After I got up, I made and drank some coffee, then ate breakfast…
…and got ready to head to the church. We got there early so we could make sure the slideshow and other things were ready to go.
After the visitation and Celebration of Life, we all ate together. By the time we got home, it was almost 5. So, it was time to shower and wind down for the night. I did get some laundry done and did a few things for church.
Sunday
Sunday morning was our Next Step classes, so I made sure I was at the church early enough to get everything together and set out for the classes. We had a wonderful time in Sunday School, followed by great worship, and an awesome word from our Pastor.
After church, we had the last of the Next Step classes, and then I was home for the rest of the evening.
