Our topic for this week is: Goals for 2026 (Bookish or not! Share your reading goals, personal goals, etc.) I will have a mixture of both.

1. Get my Storygraph up to date, and keep it up to date
This was a goal in 2025, and I did pretty well for a short time, but then I would forget about it :/ Maybe this is the year I will actually get it together.
2. Read two books a month.
Again, another goal last year, but life happens, and two books a month didn’t always happen. But, I will try again!
3. Check out more books from the library.
I love going to the library, so I’m not sure why I keep forgetting to check out books from there.
4. Write reviews as soon as I finish a book.
This was hit or miss in 2025, so I really want to do better this year. Writing them as soon as I finish is much easier than trying to remember my thoughts later.
5. Read backlist books.
My to-be-read piles are endless. I need to read some of the books that have been in those stacks!
6. Run and/or go to the gym at least two times a week.
The past two weeks have been about half and half, but it’s better than nothing!
7. Get blog posts typed up and scheduled ahead of time.
In 2025, this was hit or miss (usually more miss than hit). So far, in 2026, it has been more hit, so hopefully I can keep it up, and won’t be late with linkups LOL
8. Spend more time outside.
…besides when running. Fresh air and vitamin D are beneficial, and I know I need both!
9. Get my closet door painted and hung.
Y’all…this has been going on for two or three years. I need to get it done!
10. Keep my planner months planned out, ahead of time.
I don’t know why, but I’ve struggled with this. It is looking pretty good right now, so hopefully I won’t let it slip.

I actually need to check out fewer books from the library and concentrate on reading the ones I own. My bookshelves are groaning under the weight of all my unread books! Good luck on all your goals.

Good luck! I also need to get better at exercising consistently. I haven’t been to the gym for two weeks.
I’m trying to write reviews immediately after finishing a book this year too. I still have some pending from last year that I’ll have to try to remember 😂. I also want to get blog posts typed beforehand but I’ll see how successful I am with that. I hope you achieve all your goals!
