Plate of Hodgepodge [11.26.25]

Happy Wednesday, friends! Let’s do this!! It’s time for Joyce‘s Wednesday Hodgepodge linkup! Here are this week’s questions with my answers in italics.

1. Do you feel like you have a ‘full plate’ at the moment? In what way?

I feel like I always have a full plate. Even though it is a volunteer job, my administrator job at church is pretty much a full-time job. I did have a full-time “paying” job outside of the church, but I was laid off from that last Monday (the 17th). So, in place of that, I am now job-hunting. Then, there’s always running, and spending time with family and friends. I wouldn’t trade any of it, though (well, except the job-hunting for an actual job)

2. How did you learn to cook? If you have children, did you teach or encourage them to cook? Do you like to follow a recipe, or is your cooking style more ‘let’s wing it’?

I learned to cook by watching my mom and grandmother. I do not have children, but if I did, I wouldteach them to cook. I do like to follow a recipe. I don’t like to wing it. I’m too afraid of it being a disaster LOL.

3.  Last time you bit off more than you could chew? Elaborate.

I feel like this is a regular occurrence, but I can’t remember a particular time. I just know I tend to try to do too much at one time instead of “taking a small bite” at a time. I tend to look at the whole picture when I need to do a little at a time. I know that is usually more efficient.

4.   When did you last say ‘the more the merrier’ and mean it?

I can’t remember the last time, but when I say, I almost always actually mean it 🙂

5. Write an acrostic using the word T-H-A-N-K-S.

Travel – I am thankful for travel. I like going to new places 🙂

Home – I love home!

Animals – particularly cats 🙂

Needs supplied – always!

Kayaking – I like being able to kayak and be out on the water.

Savior – Without Him, I am nothing!

6. Insert your own random thought here.

Well, December is almost here!!
