A “Hodgepodge” Apple a Day… [10.8.25]

Happy Wednesday, friends! Let’s do this!! It’s time for Joyce‘s Wednesday Hodgepodge linkup! Here are this week’s questions with my answers in italics.

1.  ‘The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.’ How does this saying ring true in your own family, either the one you grew up in or the one you made?

I would say yes, it does ring true. I feel like I am a lot like my mom 🙂

2. Something you’re nuts about these days? How about something that’s driving you nuts?

I am nuts about the fall weather (most days). Disrespectful and hateful people drive me nuts.

3. What does abundance mean to you?

Merriam-Webster defines abundance as (1) an ample quantity and (2) a relative degree of plentifulness. In Christian terms, this makes me think of God’s goodness and mercy. That reminds me of “Goodness of God” by Cece Winans: “I love You, Lord, For Your mercy never fails me. All my days, I’ve been held in Your hands. From the moment that I wake up, Until I lay my head, Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God. ‘Cause all my life You have been faithful, And all my life You have been so, so good. With every breath that I am able, Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God.” That says it all there! It’s an abundance of goodness! Even when things are perfect, He is still good!

4.  Caramel apple-caramel cake-caramel corn-caramel sundae-caramel macchiatto…what’s your caramel treat of choice?

I am really not a huge fan of caramel, but if I am going to have it, it would probably be as a caramel macchiato, or caramel apple.

5. What’s a childhood memory that always comes to mind as the leaves start to fall?

I can’t think of a single memory, but I’ve always been a huge fan of fall, so when the leaves start to fall, I am, and have always been, happy:) It is my favorite season.
