It’s the second Monday of the month, so it’s time to share our lives. This month, we share how we take a break. Some of these activities are done separately, while others are done together (such as reading & coffee, etc.).

Sipping coffee/hot chocolate/apple cider/hot tea
The drink of choice usually depends on the season. But there is something so calming and relaxing about a mug and a hot drink in hand.

Reading
Sometimes I need a break from reality by traveling somewhere else through a book.

Vacation
Even when it is an active vacation (such as walking 20,000 steps at Disney, or in London and Scotland), it is still a break from the “everyday”.

Deck and/or porch sitting
There’s something relaxing about sitting on the deck or porch (if it’s not too hot), watching the world go by.

Running/walking
I know it sounds crazy, but something about beating the ground in a pair of running shoes is a break from the real world for a little while.

Loving on the furbabies
If you have furbabies, you know what I’m talking about. Loving on furbabies is a break from everything. A good cuddle with a furbaby (or three) fixes all things!

Other than the fur babies I agree with all of these!
Ahh! We have many of the same ways to take a break. We have a covered front porch and a back patio. Even in the summer, I sit on the front porch quite a bit, and it’s a great way to take a break. I love to read as well. Thanks for linking up with us.
