Hodgepodge Hole in One [8.13.25]

Happy Wednesday, friends! Let’s do this!! It’s time for Joyce‘s Wednesday Hodgepodge linkup! Here are this week’s questions with my answers in italics.

1.  August is National Golf month…do you play? Do you enjoy following golf? Have you ever been to a professional tournament?

I’ve never tried to play golf (but do love some putt-putt).

I used to not follow golf, but in my grandmother’s last year or two, she got into watching golf tournaments, and we would watch them with her. That’s when I got interested. Since her passing, I have not watched any.

I have never been to a professional tournament. I would if given the opportunity, but it’s not something I desire to do.

2. Astronaut Jim Lovell of Apollo 13 fame passed away this past Thursday. Are you interested in outer space and what’s happening today in terms of space exploration? If space travel became common in your lifetime would you go? How do you personally relate to the idea of exploring something vast and mysterious…does the idea excite you, intimidate you, or something else?

In a way, I am interested in space exploration. Do I think it is important? Yes and no. I think that there are things here on Earth that we need to spend time and money to figure out and get straight, but I’m also NOT saying we shouldn’t explore space.

If space travel were to become common, I would definitely go 🙂

I think exploring something so vast as space is both exciting and intimidating.

3. Describe your communication style in three words.

Better in writing (usually)

4.  Do you have a favorite cookbook? A favorite celebrity chef? Do you watch any cooking shows on TV?

I don’t have a favorite cookbook. I don’t really care about cooking.

I don’t have time for it now, but when I was younger, I loved watching celebrity chefs…Ree Drummond, Rachael Ray, Emeril, etc.

5. As a child, did you have any back-to-school traditions? If so, did you carry on those same traditions with your own children? Do you have any back-to-school traditions you’ve started on your own?

I don’t think there were any back-to-school traditions, unless you count buying the needed school supplies.

6. Insert your own random thought here.
