1. Summer officially begins this week (in the northern hemisphere)…what was your favorite thing to do in the summer when you were a kid? What do you like most about summer now?
I loved to swim when I had a chance. I didn’t have a swimming pool, but I did have a chance every once in a while. I am not a fan of summer. It is hot and humid here.
2. Something you’ll celebrate this summer?
My mom’s birthday is July 4th. We don’t do anything, as far as birthdays go. This year, our church is having a cookout in a local park in a popular area in our downtown. We will be celebrating the Fourth of July with food and live music. I am looking forward to it!
3. Summer tastes like? Smells like? Sounds like?
Summer tastes like pineapple, smells like lemon, and sounds like ocean waves 🙂
4. June 18th is National Splurge Day…what’s the last thing you splurged on? What might you splurge on today?
Lord, have mercy…some shoes. I have a pair of shoes that I have had for several years, but this Sunday, on the way to church, I looked down and saw this:
So, now I have 4 pairs of shoes currently sitting in my room, and another on the way, to consider replacing the ones above.
