It was my childhood best friend’s (who is still a great friend) wedding weekend!
Friday
Friday night was the rehearsal. I did not take any pictures. We got to rehearsal about 5-5:30, but, of course, stopped at Starbucks on the way. I tried the new Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso, and it was pretty good – not too sweet.
We were home about 8:30 or 9. I did some work on my computer and then went to bed.
Saturday
Saturday morning, my alarm was set for 5:00 to wake me up and go for a run, but it was raining. So, I went back to sleep and got up around 7:00. I read my daily scriptures from Bible Recap, ate breakfast and drank my coffee. After breakfast, I got to work on some church work that needed to be done before we left for the wedding.
I got a lot done, got my personal laptop going again, got a shower, and headed to the church for the wedding (with a stop at Starbucks on the way)! All of the church work had to be done on my work laptop (from another job) because my personal laptop would not get past the boot-up screen after a Windows Update. I had spent most of Friday waiting for a fix from the manufacturer.
The wedding was simple but beautiful, and the bride was gorgeous (sadly, I only have one picture of her, which she sent to me. I was helping, so I didn’t have my phone. Hopefully, I can share more later.) I do have a few random snaps before the wedding.
After the wedding and reception, we headed home, and I finished what few things I needed to get done, and then went to sleep.
Sunday
Sunday was a normal Sunday, with our usual stop at Starbucks on the way to church. We had great Sunday School classes, celebrated the fathers, the children went to Children’s church, and the rest of the congregation heard a great message from our Pastor.
After church, my mom, my friends, and I went to eat lunch together, and then my mom and I went shoe shopping. This was the situation after I left the house Sunday morning (and if you are wondering, they did stay together HAHA):
I did find a pair of neutral-colored shoes that will go with a lot, but I was looking for some black ones. I found these black ones but not in my size, so I got them on Zappos.
Now I have these and three more pairs headed to my house.
