Weekend Update [12.15.25]

It was another nice, festive weekend! It was full of Christmas festivities!

Friday

Friday wasn’t busy. It was nice and relaxing, which was a welcome change from earlier in the week (we were getting ready for the Children’s Christmas play). I didn’t go anywhere on Friday. I stayed home and did laundry.

Saturday

Saturday morning, I got up, fed the cats, bundled up, and headed out for a 2.5-mile run downtown before heading to…

…dress rehearsal for the Christmas play! I was at the church most of the day. After practice, there were a few things that needed to be done before Sunday. Once I finished at the church, I came home, showered, finished laundry, and got everything together for Sunday.

Sunday

Sunday was a busy day! The Starbucks routine was still the same – breakfast and coffee on the way to church. We even had messages on all food packages and coffee cups! It’s the little things 🙂

Sunday was our Sunday School class Christmas parties, and then the rest of the morning was led by the children.

The Wednesday night 3 and 4 year old class sang “Mary Did You Know?”, one of our kids played “Silent Night” on the keyboard, and then we finished out the morning with the children’s play “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”. These kids are from ages 5-12, and we have been working on this for the past four months. We were extremely proud of them!

After church, several of us stayed to get ready for Cookies and Cocoa. The children and their families build gingerbread houses, write letters to Santa, take pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus (and this year, the Grinch!), and then Mrs. Claus reads the story about the real reason for the season 🙂

It was a long, but great, (and festive!) day!

Happy Monday!!
