It was a fairly busy, yet still great, weekend!
Friday
Friday was filled with working, unpacking from Children’s Ministry conference from earlier in the week, laundry, going to get my shot refilled, and relaxing. I know, that was a lot! HAHA Oh, and I made taco soup…because, you know, fall!
Saturday
I got up early, fed the cats, and went for a 6-mile run 🙂

Once I got back, it was time for coffee, breakfast, and some NCIS.

After that, we worked on putting up the Christmas tree. (I don’t have to explain, because I can do what I want, but we were going to wait another week. We realized that the next two weekends are full, and there would be no time to get it up. I wanted it up on November 1, but since we will be on our way to Italy, it had to go up early.)

The rest of the afternoon was spent getting church work done, finishing chores, and relaxing.
Sunday
Sunday was a big day!! You know I love my Sundays, but this one was FULL! Of course, I stopped by Starbucks on the way to the church. (Let me back up a bit. I got up at 1, to try and get tickets to the Colosseum Underground…it’s a whole ordeal. I’ll write about it later. I went back to sleep, then got up at 5. I “needed” to curl my hair, and I had to be at church before 8 am.) So, at 8, we had a security meeting, and I needed to get booklets together because it was also Next Steps Sunday. We also had a special service, “cardboard testimonies”, a big announcement, and some special guests. In case you’re wondering, I successfully kept all of the plates spinning! 🙂

Right after church, we had our monthly “Lunch with the Pastor” for those who have completed the first 3 “steps”. After that, I headed home to do a few things, changed some of my clothes, and headed back to the church. We had a gospel singing night, with a singing group from our church, and Karen Peck & New River. It was a great night of worship! I am normally not a Southern Gospel fan, but I do love the group from church, and now I know Karen Peck is more like them, so I can now say I like her too.

By the time we got home, it was bedtime!
Happy Monday!!
