It’s the second Monday of the month, so it’s time to share our lives. This month, we share our best vacation memory. However, I have more than one, so I will share my best vacation memories.
Family Summer Vacations to Folly Beach, SC
I can’t even remember how many years we did this, but for many years, we would have family vacation at Folly Beach, SC. My mom, my grandmother, my sister, and I, along with my grandfather, would rent a beach house for a week. We would drive from MS, and he would drive from SC, and we would spend the week together, eating, playing games, and just visiting.
Bar Harbor, ME
You’ve probably read recently where I talked some about this trip, but this trip with my mom will also be one of my favorite summer vacations. Bar Harbor is beautiful and not “hot as hell’s door hinges” like summers in the South. My mom and I both do not like the heat and humidity here in the summer, so Bar Harbor was AMAZING. It is right on the ocean, and just has that New England charm and appeal. It was July, and the temperature was in the 70s during the day. Some of the nights were cold enough for a jacket.
