It’s time for another Monthly Musing!! Today, we are here to muse about ways we make our weeks easier.

1. Paper planner, digital calendar, or other option?
Both. I use a paper planner for EVERYTHING (running, church, personal), but I also “coordinate” the digital church calendar.

2. Meal planning, meal prep, or wing it?
99% of the time, I am winging it. Sometimes, I will get something together (like this weekend, I plan to make taco soup), but that is rare.

3. Do you choose your outfit the night before?
For the most part, yes. On Saturday nights, I know what I will wear to church Sunday morning. If it is a busy week, with lots of activities, I will have outfits picked out and lined up for every day.
4. Tips for managing laundry and ironing?
Have designated hampers (lights, darks, towels, etc.), or, per person. Also, remember to ask about laundry before starting, in case someone has forgotten to put it in a hamper. As far as ironing, most of the time, I do it as needed, and that is usually right before I wear something. On rare occasions, I might iron something right after washing and/or drying.

5. Grocery shop in-store or online?
A little of both. We go to the grocery store and shop, but we will order non-perishable items online…or have delivery of some perishables.
6. Best tips for getting out the door in the morning without chaos?
Have as much done the night before – clothes picked out, meals picked out, all necessary items gathered and ready to go.
7. Share your easiest dinners for crazy weeks.
I don’t have any recipes, but I would say anything that can be cooked ahead, and especially in the crockpot, is the easiest.
8. Best tips for keeping your house organized during the week?
Make the bed every morning. Have a designated place for everything.
9. Share your easiest breakfast.
Most of the time, my answer will be Jimmy Dean breakfast bowls. Throw it in the microwave, and you’re ready to go. But if you have time to cook sausage or bacon and biscuits ahead of time, those are easy to heat up each morning.
10. Share your best overall tip not covered yet.
Try to get as much rest as you need. Feeling rested makes things go more smoothly, or at least feel like they are.

I do a combo of paper and digital planners as well. I so appreciate my chorus and my church calendars that I can sync directly to my personal Google calendar so I don’t have to track those events myself. Great tips to make the bed every morning and to designate places for things. Deciding where things belong trips me up a lot. Hope you’re having a great and organized week!
Making my bed and getting enough sleep are definitely two great tips!
I love the Jimmy Dean breakfast bowls too. They are so Good and make life easy. Thanks for being part of Monthly Musings!
