Hodgepodge Celebration [6.4.25]

Happy Wednesday, friends! Let’s do this!! It’s time for Joyce‘s Wednesday Hodgepodge linkup! Here are this week’s questions with my answers in italics.

1. What do birthdays look like in your house? How are they celebrated? Any special traditions? What about birthdays growing up?

We don’t do anything big for birthdays. It may look like us taking the birthday person out for a meal, or picking up a meal and eating it together at home. We have had birthday parties before, but it isn’t a big deal to us. One year, my mom and I were in Iceland when my birthday rolled around, but it wasn’t a birthday trip. Another time, we were flying out to Bar Harbor, ME, on my mom’s birthday. Again, it wasn’t a birthday trip. It was just a vacation, but that’s when we happened to go. Both were nice birthdays though 😉

2. Someone is sending you a dozen roses…what color are you hoping for? Are you someone who gets accused of seeing the world through rose colored glasses? Is your accuser correct? Elaborate.

I like any rose color, but my favorites are the unique colors (not your typical pink or red). I definitely do see the world through rose-colored glasses. My accuser would be correct. I try to look at everything in a positive way. There’s no time for negativity, and that’s a miserable way to live, too!

3. June 4th is National Cheese Day…will you celebrate? What’s something (besides a burger) you make in the summer months that calls for cheese?

Yes, I will have a cheeseburger 🙂 I do love some cheese, so it won’t be hard to celebrate. Almost any kind of sandwich could probably use some cheese.

4. ’tis the season…any weddings on your June calendar? What’s the first word that comes to mind when I say marriage?

Yes!! My childhood best friend (and still a very close friend) is marrying the man of her dreams on the 14th!! The first word that comes to mind when someone says marriage is “love”.

5.  What are you most looking forward to this June?

see #4. Also, Vacation Bible School starts at the end of the month.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

Just in case you are counting (HAHA I’m sure I’m the only one)…72 days until our beach trip and 150 until our Italy trip. They’re getting closer and I can’t wait!
