It was a productive weekend!!
Friday
Friday after work, my mom and I worked in the backyard, getting rid of some grass that will be replaced. We decided to do it in the afternoon/evening, when the temperatures weren’t as hot. Otherwise, we would have needed to do it the next day, when the high was forecasted to be 100.
Saturday
We had an early leadership meeting at church Saturday morning. We caught a beautiful sunrise on our way. After the meeting, we stopped to get cat food and groceries on the way home, and headed out antique shopping again. We were looking for something specific and found a few options at three different places. We did not buy that specific thing, but…
…fell in love with this, so it came home with me 🙂 It was one of those things that you can’t stop thinking about. (It’s an antique barrister’s bookcase)
When we got it home, we had to clean out and move another antique piece that this will replace, and, between the cleaning out, dusting, and glass cleaning, it literally took all afternoon and into the evening. We were exhausted!
Sunday
Sunday morning was like most (except our Starbucks has a broken espresso machine…seriously?!). I did get something on the way to church, but it wasn’t espresso-based. We had a great time in Sunday School, awesome worship, and another wonderful word from the Pastor.
After church, we ate the Sunday lunch special at a local restaurant with friends. Once we got home, I finally had coffee, finished laundry, and worked on getting “swag bags” finished that will be given away at a local festival this weekend.
