Our topic for this week is: bookish places I’ve visited (Share all the cool places you’ve been that are bookish or tied to books! This includes neat libraries, bookstores, places featured in books, places inspired by books, author homes/places they’ve stayed, etc. You can also share your bucket list of the bookish places you’d like to visit someday.) I have decided to list 5 bookish places I have visited and 5 bookish places I want to visit.
Bookish Places I’ve Visited
1. Scotland (Inverness, Loch Ness, The Highlands) – some of the settings of the Outlander book series
2. Waterstones – London
3. Word on the Water – London
4. Abacus Firenze Legatoria – Florence, Italy

5. The Writer’s Museum – Edinburgh, Scotland
Bookish Places I Want to Visit
6. The Prague Book Tunnel (sometimes called the Column of Knowledge)
7. Þórbergssetur
This museum honors the writer Þórbergur Þórðarson and features a unique bookshelf-shaped exterior.
8. Shakespeare & Sons
Berlin, Germany – It is an English-language bookstore and sells bagels, but I mean, I love the name!
9. Reading on the Shore Path
Bar Harbor, Maine – I mean, it is Bar Harbor. I have been to Bar Harbor, but I didn’t get to experience reading on the shore path.
10. Edgar Allan Poe Square
This is a statue in Boston, in the area where Edgar Allen Poe lived.
