Happy Wednesday, friends! It’s time for Joyce‘s Wednesday Hodgepodge linkup. Let’s do this!! Here are this week’s questions with my answers in italics.

1. How would you define ‘the good life’?
Having the things you need and the things that make you happy.
2. What’s the most-used app on your phone (and are you proud of that)?
I probably use “Facebook” the most, and no, I am not proud of that. It is usually just doomscrolling. I do use it a lot to share church posts, so there’s that. Now that I think about it, I may use “Happy Color” just as much. It is basically color-by-number on your phone. I use it as a fidget-type thing 🙂
3. “Every rose has its thorn”, “everything’s coming up roses”, “looking through rose-colored glasses”, “it’s no bed of roses”, or “stop and smell the roses”…which rose idiom best relates to something in your life currently? Explain.
I would say all but “everything’s coming up roses” would apply right now.
“Every rose has its thorn” – Not everything is perfect. The most beautiful things have “issues” too.
“Looking through rose-colored glasses” – This is probably me, all the time. I try to stay optimistic and see the best in everything.
“It’s no bed of roses” – Life isn’t always easy and pleasant. It is what it is, though!
“Stop and smell the roses” – I tend to enjoy the simple things in life, the flowers, the animals, etc.
4. How do you feel about floral flavorings in food or drink (rose, hibiscus, elderflower, lavender)?
I’m not against it, but I just don’t think I’ve had enough of it to comment. I would definitely try it.
5. Over the course of your life, what have you probably spent more time pondering than anything else?
People and why they act the way they do sometimes. I know, I know…we are all different, but I do still wonder.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Singing in the choir for our state’s America 250 celebration, Vacation Bible School, and then our beach vacation are almost here!
