It’s time for another Monthly Musing!! Today, we are here to muse about our Summer 2026 preview.
1. Tell us about your Memorial Day weekend.
It was very relaxed. We didn’t have anything planned, and it was nice after being busy for the last 3 weekends.
2. What were your summer jobs when you were younger?
I worked with my aunt in her dry cleaners.
3. Ice cream or popsicles? Favorite flavors?
Pineapple coconut ice cream!
4. What do you like on your burgers and hot dogs?
Burgers: cheese, onion, tomato (if homegrown), mayo; Hot dog: mustard, Chow Chow if we have it.
5. Beach, lake, or mountains?
Beach!!!
6. Share any travel for Summer 2026.
A beach trip with my mom and my best friend!
7. Do you visit amusement parks in the summer? Tell us your favorites.
I try not to because it is so dadgum hot and humid, but I have before. My favorites are Disney and Universal. I do like Six Flags, but it has been a long time since I’ve gone.
8. Do you enjoy dining outside in the summer?
I’m sure I would, but here in the South, it is hot and humid in the summer, so no, I do not enjoy dining outside in the summer LOL. On the EXTREMELY RARE occasion that the humidity is low, and the day is still nice, I do enjoy dining outside.
9. Favorite summer beverage?
iced tea, and occasionally lemonade (when I can find some that tastes good).
10. Favorite side dish for summer parties? Please feel free to share recipes.
Hmm…I can’t think of one, but when I have burgers and/or hot dogs, I do feel like I need chips with it.
