Today, I am going to look at favorite family vacations.
We’ve really only ever done the same location as a family, but it was many years in a row.
Folly Beach/Charleston, SC
For many summers, we would rent a beach house on Folly Beach and stay for a week. We would enjoy the beach, the time together as a family, and eat plenty of great food! We would kayak, explore Folly Beach and Charleston, and shop in both places.
Now, my mom and I have gone on vacations just the two of us, and I will include those, because those are my favorites, too.
Bar Harbor, ME
In July 2018, my mom and I flew to Boston, rented a Jeep, and drove to Bar Harbor, ME. We stopped in Kennebunkport on the way. We had the best time!
Iceland
In September 2019, we went to Iceland. This was a bucket trip for both of us. We traveled the entire Ring Road in a campervan. We still talk about this trip, and hope to go again someday.
Fairbanks, AK
This was another bucket list trip. We traveled in December 2020. Yes, we went in December, on purpose, because we knew there would be snow. We played with reindeer, rode on a dogsled, snowshoed, and snowmachined. It was so much fun!
