Weekend Update [3.16.26]

It was another productive weekend!

Friday

I got a lot of church work done on Friday, because Saturday was another memorial service at church. I knew I would be there most of the day.

Saturday

Saturday morning, I got up, changed the sheets on the bed, made and drank my coffee, ate breakfast, and then got ready and headed to the church for the memorial service. We needed to go early to get the slideshow and music ready. Once it was over, we headed home.

We stopped at Hobby Lobby on the way home (because I am slightly obsessed with Highland Cows (Coos, if you’ve been to Scotland).

After that, we stopped at Subway on the way home, and then spent the rest of the day relaxing, doing laundry, and getting ready for Sunday.

Sunday

Sunday morning was like most – a wonderful time in Sunday School, followed by an awesome time of praise and worship, and a great time for the children in Children’s Church, while the adults heard a phenomenal Word from the Pastor.

OOTD

After church, we stopped at Wendy’s for lunch, and then came home to relax.

We knew that it was supposed to be stormy Sunday night, so I went outside to take some pictures of the latest bunch of daffodils since they were showing off. I was afraid they would get beaten down by the rain and wind. (Monday’s update: They survived!)

Now get ready for this wild ride…about 8 o’clock, the tornado sirens started going off, and they went off for about an hour and a half. That was just the first line of storms. Since there was a second line of storms, I stayed in the hallway.

Thankfully, the second line of storms was nowhere near as intense as the first line (at least for us), and it moved out quickly. We had a high of 78 on Sunday (notice the short sleeves in the above picture), a tornado, and then a cold front. Within a span of 24 hours, we dropped 45 degrees. Welcome to the South! LOL

Screenshot taken during church…it actually got warmer than the predicted temp.

…and to add an update, it snowed this morning (Monday)!! So, in a span of 12 hours, we had a tornado and snow! It was wild!

Happy Monday!!
