Happy Wednesday, friends! It’s time for Joyce‘s Wednesday Hodgepodge linkup. Let’s do this!! Here are this week’s questions with my answers in italics.

1. What kind of winter person are you-snow lover, fireplace snuggler, winter adventurer, or indoor hibernator? Elaborate.
All of the above! I love seeing the snow and the silence when everything is covered in snow. I love being cozy and warm in front of the fireplace. I also love adventuring in the winter! I like just staying inside too, because getting on a lot of layers to stay warm takes some work LOL

2. The Pantone color of the year is Cloud Dancer, described as a gentle, billowy off white shade. The color symbolizes ‘peace, clarity, quiet reflection, renewal, and a soft reset’. Of the terms just listed, which do you need most in your life this winter?
I don’t know that I “need” any of them in my life this winter, but the words I am drawn to are “peace”, “renewal”, and “a soft reset”.
3. Every cloud has a silver lining, on cloud nine, head in the clouds, storm clouds gathering, or cloud of suspicion...which ‘cloud’ idiom do you most relate to currently? Explain.
“Every cloud has a silver lining”. I am still unemployed and looking for a job, but this time of unemployment has allowed me to get things done that I hadn’t been able to do before, because I was very busy.
4. Coconut, cauliflower, cottage cheese, mayonnaise, onions, ranch dressing…of the white foods listed, which would be the hardest for you to give up? Do you like all or any of the foods on the list?
It would be hardest for me to give up mayonnaise, onion, and ranch dressing. I like all listed except cottage cheese. I do like coconut, but it depends on how it is prepared.
5. Thomas Wentworth Higginson is credited with this quote- “How many lessons of faith and beauty we should lose, if there were no winter in our year.” Agree or disagree? Tell us why.
I totally agree. Winter “kills” back everything (thinking about plants), and when it blooms in the spring, it is more beautiful. The same can apply to all of life. In winter, we are usually inside more, and it is dreary outside (for most). When sunshine and spring arrive, it is like a refresh. Everything looks beautiful again.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Speaking of snow, I hope we get some this winter!

Comments
We very rarely have snow, but I wouldn’t mind just one pretty snowfall before spring rolls in. I hope your job search is fruitful soon. You have a good attitude about being home and sounds like you’ve taken advantage of the unexpected break. Have a nice week!
Bundling up to go out in the cold is no joke! And then hope you don’t have to go to the bathroom anytime soon, too!
Enjoying your blog; I’m visiting from the Hodgepodge. I hope a most enjoyable and profitable job comes for you at just the right time. It is a blessing that you’ve had the time you need to get some things done. When things are in order at home, it’s easier to focus on employment.
The whole process of bundling up to go outside and then peeling off all the layers when coming inside again is kind of a pain! Good point. Glad you are seeing the silver lining to the time you’re spending between jobs, but I hope that an excellent opportunity that fits you well comes along very soon! Sorry for the lateness of my visit this week – enjoyed reading your answers!
