It was the Fourth of July weekend, and also my mom’s birthday!
Thursday
I consider Thursday the start of the July 4th weekend for me. On Thursday, my mom and I made a run to a clock repair place, Sam’s Club, American Eagle, and Earthbound…oh, and the bookstore 😉 Since we are in July now, we also thought it was time to start throwing in a little Christmas music here and there. It was a nice day, long, but still nice. We enjoyed it. In regards to the 3rd picture, if you remember an earlier post from last week, I rolled my foot doing “Church Clap” the last night of Vacation Bible School, so after being on it all day, it was hurting and swollen. So, I iced it, elevated it, and “compressed” it.

Friday
Friday was July 4th, and also my mom’s birthday 🙂 We slept until the cats woke us up. We spent the morning relaxing, reading scriptures, eating breakfast, and drinking coffee, before getting dressed to…

…head downtown where our church was sponsoring a community cookout with free food, drinks, live music, and testimonies. It was a hot day, but still a beautiful day in a downtown park area.
After the cookout, we came back home, got showers, and then my sister and her boyfriend started working on grilling and cooking for my mom’s birthday 🙂 After supper, they surprised her with a cake and flowers. Then we played a game of SkipBo before calling it a night.

Saturday
I did not run on Saturday due to my injured foot. So, Saturday was spent relaxing, doing laundry, and getting lots of church work done.
Sunday
Sunday was a “normal” Sunday – Starbucks, Sunday School, a wonderful time of worship, and a great message from our Pastor.

After church, we picked up lunch at Subway and then spent the rest of the day relaxing and preparing for the week.
Happy Monday!
